Follow Monica as she explains her staging choices on video in this virtual walkthrough
After hours of work by our staging and moving teams, we love showing you the final product. But today, we want to show you more of the process. Through this virtual walkthrough, you can see why we furnish and decorate homes the way that we do!
Watch the video above to hear Monica explain the design choices she made in each room of this three-bedroom, two-bath home.
Livingroom
When all of the tables, chairs, and sofas match, a living room can start to look like a showroom. That doesn’t help make a property feel any homier! Instead, aim for a consistent look or color palette without making everything a perfect match.
Girl’s Bedroom
Sometimes, you need to adjust your initial plans as you’re staging. Monica switched the dresser she had originally set aside for this bedroom with the dresser for the master bedroom. The new dresser just made more sense in the space. You want room for not just a bed, but also a bedside table and a desk or dresser, in spare bedrooms.
Boy’s Bedroom
This room would appear pretty bland and neutral with just a white bed cover. That’s why Monica added a few color accents throughout the room, like the red chair and flag-patterned pillow. You don’t want to go crazy with different colors, of course, but carrying the same color through multiple accessories can make a room seem brighter and more memorable.
Master Bedroom
Monica wanted a relaxing, spa-like feel for the master bedroom. What young parents wouldn’t love a calming space to retreat to after a long day with the kids? Warm neutrals really make this room feel cozy.
